The Elephant(s) in the Room

So... I needed something cute and somewhat boyish for my grandsons' room at our house. First, I found this adorable celery and brown elephant blanket at Carters. Then, I put vinyl rub-ons from Stampin' Up! in chocolate chip on the wall and just had to stamp matching images in certainly celery for the picture frames to put on the dresser. Last, I made a pillow with brown fleece and sewed a little celery polka-dotted elephant on it. I think it was a hit--Blake loved it and said "twos elephants" when he saw the pillow to match his blanket. Nash just drools on his elephant blanket. What you can't see is the bunk beds on the other side of the room--plenty of space for more grandchildren!

Two Tunic Sweaters

These are two easy sweaters I made--one for a girl, one for a boy. This is a size 2 pattern, but can be made in any size.

Strawberry Lemonade

It was really hot in Arizona today and I just wanted some strawberry lemonade--that's the name of this fabric line. I do love bright colors! Here's two pictures of the quilt--before and after binding. As you can see, it can be turned either way. Doesn't it just make you crave summer and a cool glass of lemonade?

It's Finished!

I finally bound this quilt! I started it last fall after purchasing the fabric in several quilt shops during my visit to Utah. I fell in love with both the design and colors of this Riley/Blake line and knew I had to make something cute. I found that triangles are not my forte, but am still pleased with the outcome. The second picture is the quilt in progress.

The Wallaby

I made this "wallaby" sweater for my grandson, Blake, last fall. Isn't it/he cute?

Pink & Black and Black & Pink

This one is called "Birthday Presents". I made this all with fat quarters. Most of them I found in the cutest quilt shop in Sedona, AZ a couple of years ago along with a similar quilt displayed that inspired me to make this one. I have this hanging on our guest room wall in Fountain Hills--I had to "nail" it down so my SIL wouldn't swipe it--she loves pink and black together too.

Sailing, Sailing

This is one of my favorite quilts! I made it a couple of summers ago and it hangs in our cottage on Mackinac Island. Of course, the colors and theme match the decor of the cottage too. I've never sewed so many little triangles in my life, but I was pleased with the end result.

Create!

I love creating things! Here's the vinyl rub-on (available from Stampin' Up!) that I put on my laundry/sewing room wall. It inspires me everyday.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I just had to post this little leprechaun wall hanging I made for a friend a couple years ago.

I like to quilt too!

Here's one of the quilts I recently finished. If I'm not stamping, I'm sewing. If I'm not sewing, I'm stamping.
