Hello There!

I stamped images from "Cheep Talk" and then punched them out with different size circle punches. Colors are Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Marina Mist, and Pear Pizzazz. I used DSP from the In Colors Collection and a 5/8" Daffodil Delight ribbon.

Daffodil & Poppy

Here's a summery card that was the make & take at my open house last week. We used "Aviary" and "A Word for You". Ink colors are Daffodil Delight and Poppy Parade. I also used the Square Scallop and the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punches. The new DSP is from the Sunny Garden collection.

Give Away Time!

I stamped this card using "Printed Petals" and words from "Curly Cute". I used Pear Pizzazz, Pumpkin Pie, and Bashful Blue on Whisper White. Then I ran the white card stock through my Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. Last, I punched out a little flower using the Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack and attached it with a silver brad. If you leave a comment on my blog from now until Saturday, I will enter your name in a drawing for a free classic ink pad--your choice of color!

Just Beachy

This is one of my favorite quilts and one of my projects last summer. If you click on it you can see all the beach balls and bright colors. It's waiting at our cottage to be loved by two special little boys. This is the back side--I had to make that cute too! The pattern is called "Mixed Tape" by Elizabeth Hartman from Oh Fransson.

Row of Blossoms

This card was made using "Apple Blossoms". Colors used are Cherry Cobbler, Early Espresso, and Old Olive on a Crumb Cake card base. The words are from the stamp set "Word Play" and I used 5/8" Old Olive ribbon and and Old Olive button.

Playful Pieces

This hostess set has 30 pieces! It includes stamps to make birthday presents, Christmas trees, hearts, butterflies, birthday cakes, ornaments, trees, flowers, and many more things. Colors used are Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, and Crumb Cake. I also used the Scallop Edge Punch and the 5/8" Daffodil Delight grosgrain ribbon.

Triangles & Squares

I don't know if it was more fun to hunt for all this fabric or to actually make the quilt. Each square is made with four pieces; the triangle and the three surrounding pieces to make the square. I saw a sample using this pattern in a quilting magazine and actually called the store on the East Coast to find out the name of the pattern. I had to have it! Then I searched all over the Phoenix area to find the pattern that had been discontinued. I finally found it in a discount bin at a quilt shop 40 minutes away--what luck! I first draped it folded on the rocking chair and then decided it needed to be on the wall. It is now hanging over our fireplace in the living room.

Happy Thoughts Make Happy Days

This is a hostess set called "Apple Blossoms". It has eight different stamps and is very versatile. Colors used on this card are: Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Peach Parfait, and Pear Pizzazz. I used the Mat Pack to make the holes along the top and the Square Lattice Embossing Folder through my Big Shot for the trim under the new 1/2" poly stitched ribbon.

Just a reminder, my New Catalog Open House is tonight from 5-8 p.m. at Success Financial Group in Grandville. Stop by and see tons of new items from the catalog, make a card, and more!

Have a Seat

This card has a vintage look using the new stamp set "Have a Seat". I stamped three different chairs in Early Espresso and punched them out with the 1 3/8" Square Punch. Then I mounted them on Baja Breeze card stock and again on Early Espresso. The card base was run through my Big Shot using the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder. Last, I added a little Chantilly lace trim.

Happy Tuesday!

This single stamp is called "Ornate Blossom" and coordinates with the set "Friends Never Fade". The words are from "A Word for You". Colors used are Tempting Turquoise and Basic Black. I pleated and stitched the satin ribbon on with my sewing machine. The trim on the bottom is from the new Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch (you're only seeing half of the strip it made).

7.12.2010

Play Date

Here's the new DSP called "Play Date". I used the Straight Scallop Punch to add some Old Olive trim and mounted it all on Daffodil Delight card stock. I stamped the words from "Curly Cute" with Early Espresso as well as the "For You Flower". I punched the flower out with XL Fancy Flower Punch and then stamped the center with Daffodil Delight, punched it out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch, and popped it up with Dimensionals.

Perfect Punches

I cased this idea right off the cover of the new catalog. Of course, I changed it up a little, and added some new lace trim (Chantilly). I used solid card stock in Marina Mist, Tangerine Tango, and Early Espresso, and DSP from Greenhouse Gala. I adhered the strips, punched out the shape using the Top Note die with my Big Shot, and then did some zig-zagging with my sewing machine. I stamped "happy birthday" with "Perfect Punches" and punched it out with the Wide Oval Punch. Last, I mounted it on Crumb Cake card stock which I put through my Big Shot using the Textured Impressions Square Lattice Folder.

Caged

Introducing my favorite new set "Aviary"! Isn't it adorable? This set comes with three different cages, a stand, three birds, and an owl. Colors I used are: Pear Pizzazz (also DSP), Melon Mambo, Marina Mist, and Daffodil Delight.

7.09.2010

New Colors

I used the new colors: Early Espresso, Daffodil Delight, Wild Wasabi, and Melon Mambo to make this cheery card. I also used the Square Scallop punch under the words and a piece of it on the side. A strip on the left side was run through my Big Shot using the Small Dots Texture Plate. This stamp set is one of my favorites; "On a Pedestal".

7.08.2010

Daisy, Daisy

I made this card using the clear Flower Die with my Big Shot. The swirls are stamped with Basic Black ink and are from "Trendy Trees". The Whisper White daisies are mounted on Daffodil Delight and finished off with the new 1/8" Black ribbon. I used the Straight Scallop punch to make the border on the bottom.

If you are in the Grandville area, please attend my "New Catalog Open House" on Thursday, July 15 from 5-8 p.m. at Success Financial Group. I will have tons of cards samples made from sets from the new catalog. Also enjoy a make & take, snacks, and retired items for sale!

Summer Song

I finally finished this quilt! I bought the fabric in Utah in May and started sewing on it at my daughter's house on my old 1973 Kenmore machine during little boys' naps. Then I finished it up in Arizona and had it quilted there. I finally got the binding sewn on and I'm pleased with the way it turned out. It's from the Riley Blake fabric line called Summer Song and just I lurve the colors! Here's a couple of close up pictures:

I'll be back to posting new card ideas from the new catalog soon--my new toys arrive tomorrow.

Red, White, & Blue Runner

I made this quilted table runner for my daughter last summer and thought I would share it. Stay tuned tomorrow for a "sparkling" Fourth of July card.
