Happy Summer!

This card just smiles summer.  It's from the set "Touch of Kindness", a set that includes nine different images and words.  I used Poppy Parade, Pear Pizzazz, and Daffodil Delight.  I punched the flower out with the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch and the center with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch and popped it up with Dimensionals.  The background paper is from the Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack.  I pleated then sewed a piece of Daffodil Delight Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.  Last, I added a cute, little Flower Brad.

Land of the Free

I love, love this single stamp! "Land of the Free" is great for patriotic holidays, a card to someone in the service, or just for summer. I used Real Red and Night of Navy markers on the flag and then mounted it on Night of Navy card stock. The trim was made with the Scallop Edge Border Punch and the background paper is from the Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack. Last, I added two Real Red buttons tied with White Baker's Twine. Have a Happy Memorial Day weekend!

A Touch of Kindess

"A Touch of Kindness" is another cute set from the Summer Mini catalog. The background paper is from the Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack. Colors used were Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point, and Wild Wasabi. I used the Duo Scallops Square Die, the 1 1/4" and 1 3/8" Circle Punches, and the 1 3/4" Scallop Circle Punch. Last, I added a little Melon Mambo button.

Think Pink

I used Melon Mambo and Pretty in Pink on this springy card. The card base was run through the Big Shot using the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder and the Pretty in Pink background was made with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder. I used Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Pear Pizzazz, and Pretty in Pink markers to color the "Hello Blossoms" stamp. Last I tied a soft knot with 3/8" Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon.

Sail Away

This is a new, single stamp in the Summer Mini called "Sail Away". It's great for a man's card and with these colors: Cherry Cobbler and Night of Navy. I used markers on the image and then mounted it on Cherry Cobbler card stock popped up with Dimensionals. I wrapped Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine around a piece of Night of Navy card stock and mounted that on a Sahara Sand card base. The trim at the bottom was made with Nautical Expedition DSP (also new) and a Night of Navy button with a piece of baker's twine tied through the holes. This would make another great Father's Day or birthday card for that special guy in your life.

Five Ties

This manly stamp set called "Best Dad Ever" is a great set for Father's Day or a guy's birthday. It comes with this tie stamp plus four different sentiments. The background is from the Nursery Suite Speciality Paper and I added some Early Espresso Baker's Twine and a Baja Breeze Corduroy Button. I used Old Olive, Early Espresso, and Baja Breeze markers to color the ties and then mounted them on a piece of Old Olive card stock popped up with Dimensionals. Check back Sunday for another masculine card. It's not too early to think about making cards for Father's Day!

Ahhh...

This is one of my favorite places to hang out and I was lucky enough to do a quick drive by yesterday (that's what I wanted for my anniversary). I spent my childhood summer days here and when I came home from college during the summer I began work at 3:00 so I could soak up the sun and walk barefoot in the warm sand. Years later I brought my children here often to enjoy Lake Michigan . . . and this summer I will be introducing my grandsons to my memory-filled place. We'll walk out to the lighthouse, make sand castles, jump in the waves, and picnic on beach towels. Sometimes we don't appreciate something in our own backyard until we grow up and move away. I can hardly wait to come back!

H-E-L-L-O

This is another one of the cards we're making Saturday at the class in Grandville. I used the single stamp "Hello Blossoms" and Poppy Parade and Pear Pizzazz markers. I mounted it on Poppy Parade card stock and then on a Pear Pizzazz card base. Last, I added a Daffodil Delight Flower Brad. Simple, but cute!

Flower Fest

Don't you just love this new set called "Flower Fest" from the Summer Mini? It has eight stamps and I have used four of them on this card in Tangerine Tango, Wild Wasabi, Melon Mambo, and Daffodil Delight. I also sponged the centers of each flower and leaf to add more color. All of the stamps except for the leaves fit into SU's punches! The words are from "Bold Blossom" and the surrounding label from "Four Frames". I used the Fancy Flower Punch on one of the flowers, put a brad in it, and popped it up with a Dimensional. The Wild Wasabi trim was made with the Scallop Edge Border Punch. Yes, we are making this one at the class in Grandville on Saturday along with the cards posted on April 10 & 26, and May 7. I will also post another one on Thursday that we will be making.

Touch of Kindness

I love these colors together: Pretty in Pink, Melon Mambo, Wild Wasabi, Soft Suede, and Marina Mist. I made the flowers using the new Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch, put a matching brad through each one, then popped them up with Dimensionals. The words were stamped with "Touch of Kindness" in Soft Suede on Very Vanilla inside of "Four Frames" stamped with Marina Mist. I folded a loop of Victoria Crochet Trim and tucked it under the Marina Mist piece made with the Decorative Label Punch. Winner of the give away is Sarah--I think she is the newest mom I know, her sweet little boy was born just a month ago. Happy Mother's Day to everyone!

Shocker & Give Away

Did anyone notice out of the last twelve cards I posted I used Daffodil Delight in ten of them? Shocker! You know how I don't like yellow. At all.

Below is a stamp set for a give away. Please leave me a comment and on Saturday I will draw a name. The winner will be the new owner of this set from SAB called "So Happy for You".

Beyond the Garden

I used Pacific Point and Wild Wasabi markers on this little birthday cake from "Pretty Postage". I punched it out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch and popped it up with Dimensionals on a piece of Wild Wasabi punched with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch. Then, I stamped Pacific Point ink on Pacific Point card stock using the "Homemade" single stamp and punched it out with the 2 3/8" XL Scallop Circle Punch. The DSP is called Beyond the Garden from the new Summer Mini. The trim was made with Whisper White card stock using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch layered on a strip of Pacific Point card stock.

Blossom Bouquet

These flowers were made with the punch Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch. This new punch has three different flowers you can make! I stamped the words with "A Word for You" and the border around them with "Four Frames". Then I punched it out with the Decorative Label Punch. The background paper is from Sunny Garden and the colors used were Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, and Poppy Parade. I added a 1/8" Daffodil Delight ribbon on the bottom. The Summer Mini Catalog (link on right) starts today!
