Embellished Events

This set comes with six different images and five different sentiments.  It's called "Embellished Events" and has something for every occasion!  I stamped it in Daffodil Delight and Basic Gray and then punched it and the background out with the Labels Collection Framelits.  The background paper is from the Polka Dot Parade collection.  I added a Basic Gray 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.  Happy Birthday Julie & Sue, both celebrating a birthday today, even born the same year!

My Two Dudes

Here's what I've been doing the last two weeks.  Blake basically wanted to live in the pool, but Nash wanted to stay in the house and watch DDDs (DVDs).  I seriously don't think I can watch Polar Express one more time, not even at Christmas.

Nash wanted to eat--a lot and often.  We finally had to put a lock on the pantry door (his favorite hang out).  He also loved putting my mixing bowls on his head.

My version of a happy meal--Blake really got a kick out of this.
Miss them already!

Summer Smooches Paper

This is one of my favorite new collections of DSP.  It has so many designs and colors to choose from, I never run out of ideas.  I used Lucky Limeade and Calypso Coral and used the Chevron Embossing Folder for the background.  I stamped the cake using "Make a Cake" and punched it out with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch.  I mounted it on a piece on Lucky Limeade made with the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle.  Last, I punched out a Whisper White flower with the Boho Blossoms punch and added an In Color Designer Printed Brad.

Apothecary Accents

My friend, Mary, made this beautiful card!  I just love the colors too--Soft Suede, Rose Red, and So Saffron.  She used the "Curly Cute" set and then punched it out with the new Apothecary Accents Framelits.  The Rose Red background was made with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder and the So Saffron with the Stripes Embossing Folder.  The brads and safety pin are from the Vintage Trinkets assortment and the flower from Paper Daisies.  Thanks Mary!

Alhambra

What the heck is Alhambra?  I looked it up and it's a citadel and palace on a hill overlooking Granada, Spain built by Moorish kings in the 12th and 13th century (there's your history lesson for the day).

This new wheel does look like Spanish tile or something, but maybe more like men's pajamas or boxers.  I wheeled it in Basic Black and added some Raspberry Ripple Trim.  The scalloped edge was made with the new Finishing Touches Edgelits.  I stamped the three images on the bottom using "Lacy & Lovely" and then added some new In Color Dahlias in Raspberry Ripple.

Four Seasons

I once told a friend, "I love the Four Seasons!"  She thought I was talking about winter, spring, summer, and fall--um, no "The Four Seasons" by Vivaldi.  I'm guessing it nor Vivaldi rang any bells with her.  Anyway,  this new stamp set contains four different circle/scallop shaped images (each season) and four more coordinating small pieces (snowflake, flower, butterfly, and leaf).  I stamped this (summer) in Gumball Green and Daffodil Delight.  I punched the middle with the 1" Circle Punch and the outside with the 2 3/8" Scallop Punch.  The background paper is from the new In Color Designer Series Paper Stack.  Last, I added a 1/2" Daffodil Delight bow.

Happy Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!  This card was made from the set "Best Dad Ever".  Colors used were So Saffron, Pool Party, Cherry Cobbler, and Old Olive.  I used the Curly Label and Modern Label Punches to embellish the card and added holes on them using the new Essentials Paper-Piercing Pack templates.  It contains three templates that coordinate with many of the punches and Edgelits.  The background paper is from the Bandstand Simply Scrappin' Kit.

Moving Forward

This cute set, "Moving Forward", is part of the new Ronald McDonald set (there's also a tricycle and a blimp).  For each set that is sold, SU will donate $3 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities.  I stamped the boat in Pacific Point and mounted it on Real Red.  I stamped the words with "Itty Bitty Banners" punched out with the coordinating Bitty Banners Framelits.  I added some Real Red Polka Dot Parade DSP and a Whisper White 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.  The background was made with the Argyle Embossing Folder.

A Fitting Occasion

This set has 24 different images!  "A Fitting Occasion" has different pictures that fit inside circles of words and shapes that fit inside of punches.  I stamped the elephant and words in Marina Mist and punched them out with the 1" Circle Punch.  Then, I used the new Polka Dot Parade DSP in Daffodil Delight, stamped it in Marina Mist, and punched it out with the Curly Label Punch.  The next shape was made with the Modern Label Punch.  Last, I used the Chevron Embossing Folder and then punched it out with the 2 1/2" Circle Punch.  The background was made with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  The bottom edge was made with the Adorning Accents Edgelits and the coordinating Adorning Accents Folders.  Finally, I added a Marina Mist 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon layered with some 1/4" Stitched Daffodil Delight Ribbon.

Lacy and Lovely

This new stamp set called "Lacy & Lovely" has four images and three sentiments.  I stamped the doilies in Calypso Coral and Pool Party and the words in Early Espresso.  I stamped another one separately, punched it out with the 1" Circle Punch, and popped it up with a Dimensional.  The background was made using the new Chevron Embossing Folder (love it).  The trim at the bottom was made with the new Finishing Touches Edgelits.  Last, I added some 3/8" Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon.

Make a Cake

Lovin' this one too!  "Make a Cake" comes with seven different stamps to build a custom cake.  Also, there's adorable matchy/matchy DSP called Patio Party.  Colors used were Primrose Petals, Midnight Muse, Summer Starfruit (all new), and Baja Breeze.  I stamped each layer separately and adhered it to the cake.  The background on the top of the card was made with the new Fancy Fan Embossing Folder.  I stamped the words in Midnight Muse with "Itty Bitty Banners" and then cut it on the Big Shot with the new Bitty Banners Framelits.  Last, I added a Subtles Button (Rose Red matches perfectly) tied with Whisper White Baker's Twine.

Quint-Essential Flower

I made this card using one stamp and five different punches--that must be why it's called "Quint-Essential Flower".  This is my favorite new single stamp!  I stamped it in Pool Party and Night of Navy and used the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle, 1 3/4" Scallop Circle, 1" Circle, 3/4" Circle, and 1/2" Circle Punches to layer the colors.  The backgrounds were made with two new Embossing Folders:  Argyle and Delicate Designs.  Then, I cut the bottom one using the coordinating Large Scallop Edgelits.  Last, I added a Whisper White 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.

Floral District

Here's another new stamp set "Wacky Wishes" that I also used recently in a Christmas card post.  Love this set!  I stamped the "wishing you a" in Baja Breeze and the "Happy Birthday" in Rose Red.  I added little Daffodil Delight flowers from "Betsy's Blossoms".  I used the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and also the new Floral District DSP as the background.  I added some 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon to finish it off.

New Catalog Starts Today!

"It's the most wonderful time of the year . . . "   Just kidding--but for a devout Stampin' Up! follower, we just get so excited when new catalog arrives.  We pour over it again and again, revise several wish lists, and count down the days until we can finally order.  Well, that day is here!

I made this card using more new In Colors including Summer Starfruit, Primrose Petals, and Raspberry Ripple.  I also added some Early Espresso.  My color combo was inspired by the front cover of the new catalog.  I used the new "Bright Blossoms" stamp set and punched out the images with the 1" Square Punch.  Then, I mounted them on card stock made with the Postage Stamp Punch.  I used the Stripes Embossing Folder and added three rows of trim using the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.  Last, I added a 1/8" Early Espresso Taffeta Ribbon.  Whew, thanks for reading all of this!  If you made it this far, you earn a free marker with your next order--just tell me you saw this when you place an order.  Happy New Catalog!
