Happy Easter!

Aren't these carrots the cutest things ever?  I saw them on a website, emailed them to my friend Debbie, and within hours she had bought the fabric and was sewing away.  Mine are still a work in progress.

Here's a close up shot--she used ribbon folded in half for the top.  More cuteness!  Here's a flashback to my bunny quilt from last year.  Have a Happy Easter!

Woo Hoo

I used the single stamp "Woo Hoo" (only available until March 31) and stamped it in Whisper White on Basic Black card stock.  I cut it out, mounted it on Whisper White, and used the Corner Rounder Punch.  I made the background using the Chevron Embossing Folder.  Last, I added a 3/8" Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon.

Henry Says

Isn't this little guy cute?  I stamped him in Basic Gray on Daffodil Delight from Polka Dot Parade DSP.  This set called "Henry Says" from the Spring Mini comes with 13 different stamps.  I used paper from the Color Collection Designer Series Paper Stacks and the Scallop Edge Border Punch to make the trim on the top and the bottom.  Last, I added a Daffodil Delight Brights Designer Button tied with some Basic Gray Baker's Twine.  Happy Birthday Mary (Wednesday)!

Here's what I made and it took all of five minutes:

Elephants Squared

Sale-A-Bration ends today--sigh!  Here's one last card to share from "Patterned Occasions".  This elephant is the cutest and now he has a friend on his trunk from "A Fitting Occasion" that I stamped in Gumball Green and punched out with the 3/4" Circle Punch.  The bigger elephant was stamped in Melon Mambo and punched out with the 1 3/4" Circle Punch.  I made the top with the Chevron Embossing Folder and the bottom with the Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP.  Last, I added a 1/4" Pacific Point Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.

Ring Me Up

Love this London-ish phone booth!   I stamped it and "Celebrate" with Cherry Cobbler from the set 'Feeling Sentimental" from SAB.  The background paper is from the First Edition DSP.  To finish it off I tied on some Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine.

Madison Avenue

I finally had a chance to play with this cute set called "Madison Avenue" (SAB).  I stamped the leaves in Lucky Limeade and the flower in Island Indigo.  The background is from the Sycamore Street DSP collection and I used the Vine Street Embossing Folder (both SAB) to make more cuteness.  I used a 3/8" Designer Printed Brad and Island Indigo ribbon from the Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack (SAB).

Gray & Coral

I love these colors together--see another card with them here.  I used Basic Gray and Calypso Coral and the coordinating Color Collection Designer Series Paper Stacks.  The top background was made with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder. I also used the Postage Stamp and Petite Curly Label Punches (SAB).  I stamped the "for you" with one of the "Pretty Petites" stamps from SAB.  The little doily was made with the Delicate Doilies Sizzlits and the button is from the Sycamore Street Ribbon & Button Pack. (also SAB).  I made the little gray striped banner with the Bitty Banners Framelits and tied the button with Whisper White Baker's Twine.

Bloomin' Buttons

The words from this set are from "Bloomin' Marvelous" from SAB.  I stamped them in Calypso Coral and punched the flowers out with the Boho Blossoms punch using Pool Party and Calypso Coral.  The coordinating DSP, buttons, and ribbon are from the Sycamore Street collection (also SAB).  I made the trim at the bottom using the Needlepoint Border Embossing Folder (Spring Mini).  Sale-A-Bration ends Friday, so check back each day this week for a new post using a SAB set.

Happy St. Patty's Day!

I made this wreath using lots of burlap and green shamrock fabric (not to mention hot glue and a few burns to go with it).  I cut out 2 1/2" and 3 1/2" circles on my Big Shot.  I layered them up and added lots of buttons.  Go Green!

Boots & Winners

I made these cute little rain boots from the set "Bootiful Occasions".  It has three other boots all with sentiments and separate stamp that says "Happy Bootday".  So cute!  I used some Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP for the polka dot boots and the striped trim all on a Melon Mambo card.  I added some Daffodil Delight trim with the Scallop Edge Border Punch.  I stamped the words in Pacific Point and punched that out with the Modern Label Punch. I also used the Cloudy Day Embossing folder for the background and then made more clouds, cut them out, and popped them up with Dimensionals.  Last, I added a Daffodil Delight 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and a Flower Brad.
The winners of the SU gift certificates were drawn in this order:  $20--Susan, $15--Marianne, $10--Debbie.  Come to Arizona and claim your prize--just kidding.  Congrats!

Happy Hello

This year Stampin' Up! is offering a little kit that contains everything to make these cards including die-cut cards, lined envelopes, flower stickers, baker's twine, and rhinestones.  You can earn this for FREE during Sale-A-Bration (which ends March 22).

Five Squared

If you calculated the total from the title and got 25, you're correct!  I used 25 of the 40-2 1/2" squares from a "Candy" pack from Moda's Marmalade Collection.  It involved a LOT of math to center these squares on a pillow that seemed to change by a 1/4" every time I measured it.  To avoid using a ton of pins, I glued the center of each square down first and started sewing/top stitching from the middle out.  Although I LOVE stamping, sometimes I just need a little sewing break.

Baja Breezy

Isn't this so soft and pretty?  I stamped it in Baja Breeze with the set "Vintage Verses" from SAB.  I used the Delicate Designs Embossing Folder and coordinating Large Scallop Edgelits to make the bottom edge.  I made the Very Vanilla background with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  Last, I added some Very Vanilla 5/8" Flower Trim from the Spring Mini.

3.07.2013

More Bunnies

Time for another Easter card!  I made this using the single stamp "Ears to You".  I used Regal Rose, Wisteria Wonder, and Lucky Limeade markers to color the bunnies.  I mounted them on the same colors of card stock and made the background with the Framed Tulips Embossing Folder.  The words are from "Delightful Dozen" and stamped in Lucky Limeade.  I made a coordinating bow using the  3/8" Ruffled Ribbon.

3.06.2013

Manly

Here's one for a guy!  I used "Patterned Occasions" from SAB and stamped it in Crumb Cake.  I stamped it separately in Summer Starfruit and cut out the frosting to put on the cupcake.  The background was made using the Houndstooth Embossing folder (top) and the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack.  I added a Midnight Muse 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon around the middle.

3.04.2013

All Dressed Up

Here's another new set from the Spring Mini!  It's called "All Dressed Up" and contains a dress and three sentiments.  I used paper from the Poetry Pack Designer Series Paper Stack and punched this shape and the dress form behind it with the Dress Up Framelits (there are three different ones).  Then, I made the little flower with the Boho Blossom Punch with Summer Starfruit card stock (and also the background) and put a Raspberry Ripple Dahlia in the middle.  Last, I added a Raspberry Ripple 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon.

Same Card, New Colors

I like this card layout so much, I decided to do it again in different colors.  This time I used Basic Gray and Pool Party.  Same elements:  doilies, chevron embossing folder, scallop circle punch, sewing on the machine, yadda, yadda.  However, I used a NEW button--it's from the Silver Basics Designer Buttons (Spring Mini).

Vintage Verses

This set called "Vintage Verses" has four different images and can be earned for FREE from Sale-A-Bration.  I stamped the word in Calypso Coral and the outline in Basic Gray.  This little frame is a single stamp called "Basic Label" and it fits perfectly with the same shape from the Apothecary Accents Framelits.  The top was made with the Vine Street Embossing Folder (SAB) and the bottom with the In Color Designer Series Paper Stacks.  I added two Basic Gray Brads and some Calypso Coral 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon.
