Festive Flurry

I made this card using "Festive Flurry" and the coordinating Framelits Dies.  The words are from "Christmas Messages" and the background paper is from the Winter Frost DSP Collection.  I used Coastal Cabana card stock on the top along with the Pretty Print Embossing Folder.  I added a little Rhinestone Basic Jewel to the middle of the snowflake to give it a little sparkle.

Jelly Roll Race

A couple of years ago I made this quilt top during a "Jelly Roll Race" with my friend, Monica.  We were in a group of about 30 ladies and all of us wound bobbins and lined them up ready to "go".  We used 42 strips of coordinating fabric that were 44" x 2 1/2" long.   We cut, we sewed, and we hurried.  The first one done got a prize--she did "random", but this girl doesn't do "random" very well.  So, I actually went home, took a few blocks apart, and sewed them on in a different place so my colors balanced.  Finally, I put the borders on . . .

. . . and then Monica quilted it for me.   I JUST finished binding it, so I thought it was appropriate to post this today because she has just lost her son and my heart goes out to her.

Snow Day

It's not really feeling like snow yet, but here's another Christmas card to get you thinking about the season (card making, of course).  It's called "Snow Day" and it comes with the snowman's body and all the accessories to make him cute!  There are 12 different stamps in this set including the words "warm wishes" that I stamped in Whisper White on Cherry Cobbler.  The snowman was stamped on a Crumb Cake tag with Old Olive 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon through the top.  The background paper is from the Season of Style DSP collection from the Holiday Mini.

Lighthouse

This is my favorite lighthouse in the whole world, probably because I grew up seeing it at least once a day in the summer time--this is my happy place.

Here's a closeup shot--Blake & Nash found their shadows on the lighthouse at sunset.

Another shot at sunset from a different angle.  I was on the ground in the beach grass.  Lake Michigan is rarely calm enough to see reflections on the water like this.

Merry Little Christmas

This is a new Simply Created Card Kit from the Holiday Mini called "Merry Little Christmas".  It contains everything to make eight cards including the envelopes, envelope liners, the cute DSP, the cards, tags, buttons, and Baker's Twine.  You can buy the stamp separately or bundle the two and save.  How fast and easy is this?

Wishing You

This is a super cute stamp set from the Holiday Mini!  "Wishing You" has two images and two sayings.  I stamped it in Crumb Cake and mounted it on Cherry Cobbler.  The background paper is from the Season of Style DSP collection.  I added some Cherry Cobbler 1" Stitched Edge Grosgrain Ribbon to top of the stack of presents.

Calm Christmas

This new set contains this intricate dove and two sentiments:  "Peace on Earth" and the other one says, "Wishing you a calm & blessed Christmas filled with the true peace of Christ the Lord."  I stamped the dove in Island Indigo and used some coordinating DSP from the Winter Frost collection to make the banners.  I used Silver Metallic Ink for the words and some Brushed Silver card stock for the trim.  The ribbon is the new Silver 1/8" from the Holiday Mini catalog.

Love & Joy

Here's another single stamp available from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  I stamped it in Old Olive and spritzed it with a Cherry Cobbler marker.  I cut it out with the Labels Collection Framelits and added a 1" Stitched Edge Cherry Cobbler Grosgrain Ribbon (Holiday Mini).  The background paper is from the Season of Style DSP collection (also new).

Sweater Weather

I'm longing for some "sweater weather" which is the name of this cute fall DSP collection from the new Holiday Mini which starts today.  Just click on picture of it on the right and it will link you to it!  I stamped the leaf with the "Magnificent Maple" single stamp in Crushed Curry and then used the Circles Framelits to make the two circles.  I added a button on the bottom with some Early Espresso Baker's Twine.  I think this card took all of five minutes to make!
