The Sounding Joy

Here's a beautiful stamp set from the Holiday Mini called "The Sounding Joy".  I stamped the star-shaped words in Marina Mist on the card base and "Let Earth Receive Her King" in silver (also embossed) on card stock vellum.  I added a little Marina Mist polka dot paper from the Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack.  I finished it off with a Whisper White 5/8" Satin Ribbon.

Gently Falling

This card was made from the new "Gently Falling" set which has twelve different images for two-step stamping.  I stamped the background leaves in Old Olive and the top leaf in More Mustard.  I cut it out and popped it up with Dimensionals.  I made the trim with Early Espresso card stock using the Scallop Edge Border Punch.  The background paper is called Spice Cake and I used a More Mustard 1/2" Scallop Dots Ribbon.

Forever Plaid

It looks like I'm on a plaid kick lately, but I just love this DSP from "Frostwood Lodge".  I stamped the tree and words with "Contempo Christmas" in Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler.  I added a Cherry Cobbler brad and some new 3/8" Quilted Satin Ribbon (from the Holiday Mini).  This card fits in the Small Open-End Envelope.

Stitched Stockings

This new set, "Stitched Stockings", from the Holiday Mini has a coordinating punch to make these adorable stockings.  I stamped the stockings in Wild Wasabi and then punched it out along with some trim from the Frostwood Lodge DSP.  I mounted it on a little frame I made with my Big Shot using the Designer Frames Embossing Folder and the background was made with the Snow Burst Embossing Folder.  I used Crumb Cake card stock and brushed it with Whisper White Craft Ink.  I used a Mini Jingle Bell and a Holly Berry Bouquet Button (both new).  I added some Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine for the trim.  The words are from Teeny Tiny Wishes and double mounted using the Modern Label and Word Window Punches.

NOEL

Here's another card from the "Warmest of Wishes" set.  I know it's a little early, but I've already starting designing/working on my Christmas cards--for reals!  Anyway, this stamp done in Cherry Cobbler fits perfectly inside of the Decorative Label Punch.  It was layered on a piece of Garden Green I punched with the Extra-Large Oval Punch.  I added a Basic Pearl on each side.  The background paper is called "Frostwood Lodge" and is from the Holiday Mini.

Warmest of Wishes

Here's a darling new hostess set from the Holiday Mini called "Warmest of Wishes".  It has five different stamps--watch Wednesday's post for a Christmas card from this set.  The words are from "Petite Pairs".  I used Soft Suede, More Mustard, and Pear Pizzazz.  I colored the leaves with markers and punched the wreath shape out with 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch and the 1 3/8" Circle Punch.  I made the background of the card using the Stripes Embossing Folder and the cute pear square with the Scallop Square Die.  Last, I tied a More Mustard Scallop Dots Ribbon around the bottom.

Sunflower

This is a new background stamp called "Sunflower".  I stamped it in Daffodil Delight and edged it with More Mustard and I used an Early Espresso marker for the center.  I stamped it again and cut out the sunflower to give it a layered look.  I heat embossed the center (also cut out) to give it some texture.  After stamped the image I used the Top Note die with my Big Shot.  Then, I wrapped some Linen Thread around it and also tie it through the button hold.  It was placed on Early Espresso DSP from the Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack.   The words are from "Occasions Alphabet".

Babysitting 101

Here's a helpful guide for all of you grandparents.  First, give the child messy pasta to eat with no plate or fork.
Then, make sure he rubs some in his hair.  Laugh at him so he does it again and again.
Give him a bath and let him climb in the basket he dumped his toys out of.
Last, snuggle him until he falls asleep with drool running out the side of his mouth.  Easy peasy!

Raining Flowers

Here's a gorgeous new set called "Raining Flowers".  It has 13 different images and many of them can be layered.  I stamped the background flowers in Pool Party and the middle one in Poppy Parade.  I stamped it again in Pool Party, cut out the center, added a brad, and popped it up with Dimensionals.  The words are from "Friendly Phrases" I punched four circles out of Poppy Parade with the 1" Circle Punch and lined them up down the right side.  On the left side I used a strip of DSP from the new In Color Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack.  Last, I added a 3/8" Pool Party Ruffled Ribbon.

Have a Seat

Don't you just love these chairs?  I stamped them with Soft Suede and Pool Party using the "Have a Seat" set.  The background paper is from the "Spice Cake" DSP from the Holiday Mini.  The words are from "Define  Your Life" and punched out with the Decorative Label Punch.  The ribbon on the bottom is brand new and from the Holiday Mini Catalog.  It is Very Vanilla 3/8" Velvet Stitched Ribbon--so soft and pretty.

Wisteria Wonder

This new In Color is really growing on me.  I'm not normally a "purple" person, but I really like this shade--sort of a periwinkle.  I stamped these flowers from "Posy Punch" and then punched them out  using the Fancy Flower Punch.  Ink colors are Calypso Coral, Pool Party, and Wisteria Wonder.  The background was made using the Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder.  The trim at the bottom was made with a piece of DSP from the Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack.  I added Basic Pearls and a 3/8" Calypso Coral ribbon.  We will be making this one at the Grandville class!

Very Vanilla on Very Vanilla

I stamped this butterfly from "Butterfly Prints" in Basic Black and punched it out with the Butterfly Punch.  I ran a piece of Very Vanilla through the Big Shot with the new Designer Frames Embossing Folder.  Then, I layered a piece of First Edition Speciality Paper punched out with the XL Oval Punch (it fits perfectly).  The background was made with the Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder.  I added two Basic Pearls on the butterfly and a 3/8" Basic Black Taffeta ribbon on the bottom.
