Sweet Sorbet

Isn't this card just yummy?  I made it with the "Language of Love" set and punched it out with the Full Heart Punch.  "Sweet Sorbet" is the name of this collection of DSP featured during Sale-a-Bration which coordinates with Crisp Cantaloupe, Pistachio Pudding, Pool Party, Sahara Sand, and Summer Starfruit.  I mounted the heart on a tag cut with the new Scalloped Tag Topper Punch.  The background was made with the Arrows Embossing Folder.

Oh, Happy Day!

This stamp is from the set "Starburst Sayings" from the Occasions Mini.  I stamped it in Coastal Cabana and used the coordinating ruffled ribbon.  It was punched out on the Big Shot with the new Starburst Framelits Dies.  The background paper is from the Retro Fresh DSP Collection.

Cuteness

I can hardly stand it--this cute, new DSP from the new Occasions Mini Catalog.  It's called Fresh Prints and it has polka dots, stripes, flowers, and more in Real Red, Coastal Cabana, and Crumb Cake.  The words are from the new set "Big Wish" which has ten different stamps.  The background was made with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder (coming soon from Sale-a-Bration).

12.08.2013

Sneak Peek

Oh Boy!  I just got some new toys to play with--from the Occasions Mini Catalog which begins on January 3.  I made this card with the set "Perfect Pennants" along with the coordinating Banners Framelits Die.  I used Strawberry Slush, Bermuda Bay, and Crushed Curry.  The background paper is from the Kaleidoscope DSP collection.  I also used the new Scalloped Tag Topper Punch to make the little thing that I slid the Crush Curry Chevron ribbon through.

New Display Board

Isn't this cute?  I found it at Target and it's great for displaying cards for upcoming classes.  I put this up at my class a few weeks ago so they could see what we'd be making this Saturday.  I can change the words and the cards for each class.  This board would also be great for posting notes, reminders, recipes, photos, etc.

A Change of Pace

I thought it was time to move on--I'm Christmas carded out.  So, here's a fresh, new card using Basic Gray, Pool Party, and Daffodil Delight  The flowers are stamped from "Polka-Dot Pieces" and the words are from "Lots of Thanks".  I punched out the flowers with the 1 3/4" and 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punches.  Then, I punched the centers out with the 1/2" and 3/4" Circle Punches and added some Daffodil Delight Candy Dots Brads.  The background paper is from the Polka Dot Parade DSP collection.  Last, I added a Basic Gray 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.

600th Post

This stamp from "O Holy Night" was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed using White Stampin' Emboss Powder on Night of Navy card stock.  I placed it on a Tea Lace Paper Doily using Dimensionals.  The background was made with Brushed Silver card stock using the Big Shot with the Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder.  Last, I added a 5/8" Organza Ribbon.

This is my 600th post!  So, I am giving away a little holiday sampler with card stock, ribbon, buttons, etc.  Please leave me a comment and I will put your name in a drawing to be held on Thursday--I'll announce the winner in my post.

Endless Wishes Take 2

This is definitely my favorite new set.  I posted about "Endless Wishes"  here, but I just can't get enough of it.  This card looks completely different than the other one I posted because this time I used Real Red and Gumball Green.  The chevron background paper is from the Color Collection DSP Stacks (Brights).  I punched out the words using the Large Oval Punch and mounted them on Gumball Green card stock that I made with the Scallop Oval Punch.  I used the Scallop Edge Border Punch to make the trim and topped it off with some 1/4" Real Red Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon.

11.14.2013

Have Yourself . . .

Here's another design from the "Merry Little Christmas Kit".  I stamped the words in Real Red and sewed them onto the other piece.  I ran the Coastal Cabana card through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  The tag, striped DSP, button, and Baker's Twine were all included in the kit.

11.11.2013

Endless Wishes

I stamped the snowflake and the words with "Endless Wishes" a new stamp set that contains three snowflakes and sixteen different words.  This photopolymer set is available for a limited time and is only $13.95!   I stamped the words in Coastal Cabana and the snowflake in Metallic Encore Silver and punched it out with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch.  The scalloped layers were made using pieces from the Winter Frost DSP collection.  I made them with the Large Scallop Edgelits die.  Last, I added some Coastal Cabana 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim.

11.08.2013

Christmas Tagables

If you want a fast and easy Christmas card to make--here's the ticket!  I used Season of Style DSP and punched it out with the Top Note Bigz die.  I wrapped some Cherry Cobbler 3/4" Chevron Ribbon around it, added the words from "Christmas Tagables", and punched it out with the Artisan Label Punch.  I mounted it all on Cherry Cobbler card stock embossed with the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder and then again on whisper White card stock.

11.05.2013

Wonderfall

"Wonderfall" is still in the big catalog, but I haven't played with it for awhile.  I stamped the leaves in Garden Green, Cajun Craze, and Crushed Curry.  Then, I punched them out with the coordinating Autumn Accents Bigz Die.  The background was made with "Off the Grid".  I added some Natural Burlap Trim and some Regals Buttons tied with Linen Thread.

Tag It

Isn't this little Santa adorable?  I stamped him in Real Red from the "Tag It" set and punched the tag out with one of the Chalk Talk Framelits.   I made the banners with Real Read and Gumball Green using Polka Dot Parade DSP.  The background was made using the Stylish Stripes Embossing Folder with Whisper White card stock.  I stamped the Ho-Ho-Ho in Gumball Green with a stamp from "A Banner Christmas", punched it out with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch, and popped it up with Dimensionals.  Last, I added some Whisper White Baker's Twine.

Just What I Wanted

This is my birthday present--a little hard to gift wrap, but just what I wanted.  I can't tell you how excited I was that my husband did my birthday shopping at IKEA and also assembled it.  Not only does it hold books, but many skeins of yarn too!  Stay tuned Monday for a new Christmas card.

10.23.2013

Happy Fall

I love that I was born in the fall--the changing leaves, the cooler temperatures, apple cider, football games, and more.   I pulled this birch paper out of the Thankful Tablescape Kit from the Holiday Mini.  Don't you just love the look?  I cut the leaves out using the Autumn Accents Bigz Die and Sweater Weather DSP.  The words are from "Banner Greetings" and I added a Natural Designer Button with a piece of Early Espresso Baker's Twine.

10.18.2013

Vellum & Pearls

I stamped these poinsettias on vellum cardstock with versamark ink from the "Joyful Christmas" set.  I used white embossing powder and my heat gun to give it an embossed effect.  I cut out two poinsettias, layered them, and added some Basic Pearls.  I stamped a separate one on Crumb Cake cardstock and embossed that too.  The words are also from "Joyful Christmas".

10.15.2013

What's in the Bag?

I stenciled these cute little muslin bags (available in packs of 8) using the Build a Banner Kit and Real Red, Silver Metallic, and Gumball Green Ink.  I placed the stencil on the bag and used a sponge dauber on an ink pad.

These are the gift cards (3" x 3") that go in the bags.  I used "A Banner Christmas" and a tag from "Pretty Presents Designer Tags".  I added some background texture and  ribbon.  The envelope liners were made with the new Envelope Liners Framelits Dies from the Holiday Mini.  It makes three different sizes of liners to give that extra touch to your special card!

10.11.2013

Christmas Messages

I stamped the "Christmas Star" single stamp in Cherry Cobbler and cut it out.  The words are from "Christmas Messages" and stamped on some DSP from the Season of Style Collection.  I added a Whisper White button tied with some Cherry Cobbler Baker's Twine.

10.09.2013

Pretty in Pink

Here's a "girly" card  I made from "Label Love" and punched it out with the coordinating Artisan Label punch. I used a Tea Lace Paper Doily and cut it in half. Then,  I layered some 3/4" Blushing Bride Chevron Ribbon, 7/16" Burlap Trim, Pretty in Pink Taffeta Ribbon, and some cute buttons with Whisper White Baker's Twine. The background was made with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and I added some Basic Pearls.

10.07.2013

Four Jacks

I have used this single stamp a ton and it's not getting old.  I stamped "Halloween Happiness" in Gumball Green and then again in Pumpkin Pie, cut it out, and layered it on top of the Gumball Green words and stems.  The banners are from the Paper Stack and Polka Dot Parade.  I made the background with the Chevron Embossing Folder.

10.03.2013

Vellum

I haven't used vellum for awhile, so I thought I try some in the Chevron Embossing Folder.  Then, I cut it out with one of the Deco Labels Collection Framelits--so cute!  I mounted it on a piece of Coastal Cabana card stock that I stamped the lines on from "Gorgeous Grunge".  I stamped the words with "Label Love" and punched them out with the coordinating Artisan Label Punch.  I also stamped images with Night of Navy using the "Tape It" set which is one of my favorites.  Then, I mounted everything on Whisper White made with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and then on Night of Navy card stock.  Last,  I tied some Coastal Cabana 3/8" Ruffle Stretch Trim around the whole card.

9.30.2013

Pretty Print

This is one of the newest Textured Embossing Folders called "Pretty Print".  I just love the background it makes and I added to it by using "Gorgeous Grunge" to make the dots with some Crumb Cake ink.  I used the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder to make the Calypso Coral banner  on the left.  I added a Very Vintage Designer Button tied with some Natural Linen Thread.  Next, I stamped the words and background from the set "Oh, Hello".  I cut it out with one of the Ovals Collection Framelits and popped it up with Dimensionals.  Underneath it is some Calypso Coral Ribbon.

9.26.2013

Christmas Star

Don't you just love this huge "Christmas Star"?  This is a new single stamp available that  I popped it up with lots of Dimensionals--seven of them stacked up right in the middle.  I stamped it in Night of Navy, cut it out, and  scored the "hills" and "valleys" to give it a three-dimensional effect.   I placed a Rhinestone in the middle and wrapped Silver 1/8 Ribbon" around the star.  The words are from "Christmas Messages"

9.24.2013

You're How Old?

These words are from "Delightful Dozen" and for my husband--today is his birthday!  The background paper is from the I Am Me DSP Collection.  I used the new Chevron Border Punch layered with some Pool Party card stock.  I added some Real Red 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon and two cute little Pool Party buttons.

9.21.2013

matchy-matchy

Anyone that knows me, knows I have a slight obsession with matching things.  Lately when I've made blanket sets (see my other blog here) for babies I need to include a matching card.  So, here's a blanket, burp cloth, and elephant card to match.  Martha would be proud.

9.18.2013

Magnificent Maple

This single stamp is only $9.95 and makes the coolest leaves.  I stamped this in Early Espresso, Pumpkin Pie, Pool Party, and Crumb Cake.  I also used the stamped set "Gorgeous Grunge" for the background.  I punched the opening with the Scallop Oval Punch and stamped "hello" from the "Four You" set inside of the card.  I tied a 1/8" Pumpkin Pie Taffeta Ribbon around the opening.

9.16.2013

Tape It

I need to play with this set more often!  "Tape It" has eight different types of "tape" to stamp that look like Washi Tape.  I used Calypso Coral and Basic Gray.  The words are from "A Dozen Thoughts" which is becoming my new favorite word set.

9.13.2013

Papillon Potpourri

Here's the same card with two different sayings.  The top one is "A Dozen Thoughts" and the bottom one is "Memorable Moments".  I love that Memorable Moments has all the numbers and words to make whatever birthday or anniversary you need.  I stamped the cards in Coastal Cabana and Baked Brown Sugar.  I used the Bitty Butterfly and Elegant Butterfly Punches which coordinate with the "Papillon Potpourri" set.  I added a Natural Designer Button with some Pool Party Baker's Twine tied in a bow.  This set is on special with the coordinating punch during September.

9.11.2013

Love & Laughter

I haven't used this set since I made tons of thank you cards last summer.  I think it's adorable and seeing a friend ordered a black and white wedding card, this was my "go to" set.  I used "Love & Laughter" for the cake and "Sweet Essentials" for the words.  The piece in the middle was made with the Wallpaper Embossing Folder and I added a 5/8" Whisper White Organza Ribbon.

9.09.2013

Double Punches

I used both the Bitty Butterfly Punch and the Artisan Label Punch to make these cute little pop up things.  The paper behind each punch is from the DSP Stacks; I used:  So Saffron, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz, and Rose Red.  I made the pretty Whisper White background with the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder and added a Pear Pizzazz Seam Binding Ribbon.

9.06.2013

Red & Green

Are you tired of my holiday cards yet?  I like to post ideas early, so anyone that wants to use them has plenty of time to order the supplies and make them.  Anyway, I stamped this one in the traditional Real Red and Gumball Green.  The stamp is from the "Merry Little Christmas" set and I cut out the tag using the Chalk Talk Framelits Set.  The background paper is from the Polka Dot Parade DSP Collection.  I used the Chevron Embossing Folder and added some Gumball Green 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon.

9.03.2013

Cute Cupcakes

Just had to share this adorable card Kathee made!  It's from the set "Create a Cupcake" and she made it with the coordinating Cupcake Builder Punch and in some of my favorite colors.  Yummy!  The best part is the three-dimensional awning (it's really not crooked, it was the camera lens angle) made using the Word Window Punch.  Happy Birthday Lindsey--this one's for you!
