Sneak Peek

Oh boy--I was able to get a few of the goods from the new catalog early!  Here's what I made from "Label Love" (and the new coordinating punch) using Melon Mambo, Night of Navy, and Pear Pizzazz (it's back). I stamped the little scallop and punched it out with the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch.  It fits perfectly!  The bottom background DSP is from the new Gingham Garden series and the top is Daffodil Delight card stock run through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  Last, I tied on some Night of Navy 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon.

Oh Whale!

Love this little guy!  I stamped him and the words from "Oh, Whale!" in Pacific Point.  I added a Whisper White Brad for his and used some paper from Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP for the waves background.  The window was cut using the Ovals Collection Framelits Dies.  I tied a Pacific Point 1/4" Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon through the window and around the Whisper White part of the card.  The border on the bottom was made with one of the Needlepoint Border Embossing Folders.

Bird Buddies

This is one of my favorite sets from the big catalog called "Aviary" and it is retiring!  I stamped it in Summer Starfruit and Raspberry Ripple and the words are from "Sweet Essentials".   I cut the shapes out using the Window Frames Collection Framelits Dies.  I mounted this on the cute polka dot paper from the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack.  I added solid pieces of Summer Starfruit and Raspberry Ripple and mounted it all on a Very Vanilla card.  Last, I tied on some Summer Starfruit 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon.

Spinner Card

I haven't made a spinner card for years, but this pinwheel was the perfect thing to use.  I punched it out with the Pinwheel Die using some Sunshine & Sprinkle DSP.  The words are from "Wishes Your Way".  The opening was made by moving the Word Window Punch along the card stock.  I used the Cloudy Day Embossing Folder on the Whisper White background, then mounted it on Lucky Limeade, Melon Mambo, and Daffodil Delight.  The pinwheel is held together by two pennies and lots of Dimensionals.  As you tilt the card, the pinwheel spins down the track.

Textured Circles

I had so much fun making this card!  I used Rose Red, Early Espresso, and So Saffron card stock on a Crumb Cake background.  I used the Perfect Polka Dots, Chevron, Argyle, Square Lattice, and Houndstooth Embossing folders along with the 1" Circle Punch.  The words are from "A Round Array" and punched with the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch.

Spring Blossom

This cute Blossom Punch has been waiting for just the right card to make an appearance on.  First, I ran the Tangerine Tango card stock through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  I made the center of the flower with a stamp from "A Round Array" with Daffodil Delight and punched it out with the 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch.  Then, I mounted that on a 1" circle made with Lucky Limeade.  The background paper is from the Summer Smooches DSP and I added a Daffodil Delight 1/2" Seam Binding Ribbon.

More Hexagons

I just love this Honeycomb Embossing Folder and I'm surprised I haven't worn it out.  I used it on the Crumb Cake background and again on pieces of DSP from the Print Poetry Stack.  The top was made with Night of Navy card stock and stamped with the "Oh, Hello" set in Whisper White.  Last, I added  Gumball Green 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon.

Pink Poppies

I stamped the background stamp "Pleasant Poppies" in Crumb Cake on some coordinating Color Collection Designer Series Paper Stacks.  I colored the poppies with a Pink Pirouette marker and added some Pink Pirouette card stock scallops made with the Adorning Accents Edgelits.  I mounted this on Crumb Cake card stock and added a 1 1/4" Two-Tone Ribbon.  The words are from "Sweet Essentials".

Spring Surprise Bundle

This stamp set called "A Round Array" is a preview set of eight stamps available early from the new catalog coming out in June.  It has a coordinating 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch and you can get the bundle right now for 15% off.  I stamped the circles on First Edition DSP in Melon Mambo and punched them out, added some Lucky Limeade 3/8" Designer Printed Brads, and popped them up with Dimensionals.  The background paper is from the Sunshine & Sprinkles collection.  I punched a 1" circle out of Marina Mist and then stamped "Happy Day" from "Ciao, Baby!" and punched that out with the Petite Curly Label Punch.  Behind that is a piece of First Edition DSP made with the Bitty Banners Framelits.  The Melon Mambo edge was made with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch.  Finally, the card background was made with Marina Mist using the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder.

Vellum

I used the words from "Oh, Hello" and stamped them in Basic Gray on vellum.  I layered that on a 2 1/2" circle of Pool Party card stock.  Then, I popped it up with Dimensionals and placed it on a Paper Doily.   The background was made with the Honeycomb Embossing Folder.  I punched the butterflies out using some Pool Party paper from the Color Collection Designer Series Paper Stacks. I used the Elegant Butterfly and the Bitty Butterfly Punches to layer them.  Last, I added a 1 1/4" Two-Tone Ribbon and a Basic Gray Button with Pool Party Baker's Twine.

Post Easter

Here's the table before we  brought out the food:

The best part was the almond joy cheesecake Aubree and I made:

Silly bunnies after the Easter basket hunt.  My sister made these ears and mailed them from Michigan.  We later found out they were supposed to go on the chairs, not our heads.  Oh well . . .
