The Graduate

Congratulations to Jorden for his Bachelor of Science Degree in Digital Media from UVU.  It was a double-fun weekend with the celebration of Jo's birthday too!  Sorry the pictures are so blurry, please check Lindsey's blog down the road--I'm sure she'll have better ones.

Rainbows

I'm missing a work meeting (Blanket Bee) at Project Linus tomorrow--but I have good excuse which I'll explain later.  I got this little afghan finished just in time to donate before I left town.  It was easy, fast, and fun.  I made a "seersucker" effect by changing the size of my knitting needles every ten rows.  Here's a picture of the whole afghan and also a close-up shot.

Mixed Bunch

This set may be retiring!   The Occasions Mini Catalog only runs through Monday, so I am placing orders on Friday (Michigan) and Saturday (Arizona).  Also, a long list of stamp sets and accessories are retiring as well.  Please email me if you would like to place an order.
This card was made using Pool Party and Basic Gray using the "Mixed Bunch" and coordinated Blossom Punch.  I made a strip of Whisper White embossed with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  Then, I added some Basic Gray trim with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch, a Basic Gray 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, and a Pool Party In Color Designer Printed Brad.

Friends are Flowers . . .

Here's another retiring set--one of my faves, "Friends Never Fade".  I tried this set in some new colors:  Pool Party, Daffodil Delight, and Soft Suede.  The background DSP is from Attic Boutique (Occasions Mini).  I finished it off with some Daffodil Delight Seam Binding.

Red & Blue

I've never tried these colors together:  Real Red and Island Indigo.  What do you think?  I used the new stamp set preview "Bright Blossoms" to stamp the image and popped it up with Dimensionals.  Then, I used the coordinating DSP, Summer Smooches cut in 1" strips.  Last, I added an Island Indigo 3/8" Ruffled Ribbon.

Classy

I've been meaning to order this Embossing Folder called "Manhattan Flower".  The funny thing is, my friend, Kathy made this cute card and gave it to me at my class on Saturday.   She stamped flowers from the coordinating set "Fifth Avenue Floral" on the inside (it's hiding) and also on the envelope.  She added a 5/8" Basic Black Ribbon with two Basic Pearls.  I liked it so much, I decided to order both items on Saturday afternoon with my class order.  The next day, I found out the stamp set was retiring.  You'll be seeing more of these two!

Retiring

This cute, single stamp called "Triple Treat" is retiring!  I stamped it four times; in Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, and Soft Suede.  I punched the top one with the 5-Petal Flower Punch and the bottom two with the Fancy Flower Punch.  Then, I punched the center out with the 1/2" Circle Punch.  The words are from "Fabulous Phrases" and were made with the Jewelry Tag Punch.  I tied these around the Riding Hood Red Ribbon using Whisper White Bake's Twine.  The background paper is from the Twitterpated Collection from the Occasions Mini.

Summer Smooches

Here's another card using the set "Bright Blossoms" from the Summer Smooches Preview (during the month of April).  I used Melon Mambo and Basic Black markers to color the image and stamped them on First Edition Special DSP.  The frame was made using the Labels Collection Framelits Dies, the Designer Frames Embossing Folder, and the Extra Large Oval Punch.  I layered this on top of the paper and popped it up with Dimensionals.  I ran a piece of Very Vanilla through the Big Shot using the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  Last, I used Basic Black 1 1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon.

Happy Spring!

This card just reminds me of spring!  I used "Flower Fest" and stamped the flower in Daffodil Delight and punched it out with the 2 3/8" Scallop Circle Punch.  Then, I mounted it on a piece of Melon Mambo that I ran through the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  I used the Houndstooth Embossing Folder with Pumpkin Pie card stock.  The background paper is from the Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack.  Last, I added a Bold Brights Button tied with Whisper White Baker's Twine and some 1/8" Daffodil Delight Taffeta Ribbon.

Delicate Doilies

I stamped the images in Night of Navy and Rose Red using "Delicate Doilies" and punched them out with the 1 3/8" Circle Punch.  Then, I added coordinating Flower Brads and popped two of them up with Dimensionals.  Last, I tied a double knot using Rose Red 1/2" Seam Binding and 1/4" Grosgrain Ribbon.  The background paper is from the Patterns Designer Series Paper Stack.

Buggy Barn Bunnies

I started this wall hanging/quilt back in February and finally finished it just in time for Easter.  It is called "Buggy Barn" because of the technique used by the pattern maker.  I used nine fat quarters (18" x 22") stacked on top of each other.  Then, cut all the lines at the same time with a rotary cutter and shuffled some of the pieces.  I sewed them all back together making sure the ears, heads, and bodies all matched because there are twelve pieces comprising each block.  I also added buttons to the bow ties and a border.  Have a Happy Easter!

Tea Shoppe

Wouldn't this make a cute invitation for a tea party?  I used "Tea Shoppe" and stamped the cups in Pool Party on Very Vanilla.  I made the trim with Eyelet Border Punch and added a Basic Pearl on the middle cup.  I stamped the words from the same set and punched them out with the Word Window Punch.  I mounted it on Pool Party card stock punched with the Modern Label Punch and popped it up with Dimensionals.  The background paper is from the Everday Enchantment Collection.

Bright Blossoms

Here's another sneak peek of the adorable set called "Bright Blossoms".   You can purchase this set early from the upcoming catalog during the month of April.   I got my color inspiration from the cosmetic bag below from Target.  I stamped the tulips in Bermuda Bay, Real Red, and Night of Navy.  I punched them out with the 3/4" Circle Punch and popped up each one with a Dimensional.  I put them on a Whisper White background that I made with the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  I made the Real Red trim with the Scallop Edge Border Punch and mounted it on a Cool Caribbean card.  The words are from "Delightful Dozen" which has twelve sentiments for different occasions.  Last, I added a 5/8" Real Red Satin Ribbon.
